Is the manufacturing process for the production of crystal clear ice sculptures very difficult?
The production process for crystal clear ice sculptures is very simple and almost fully automatic. We will train you free of charge in our plant in Athens, Greece for 4 full days.
Is the manufacturing process labor intensive?
As indicated above the process is simple and almost fully automatic. In our plant in Athens, Greece one full time worker operates 10 "Hercules" Production Machines.
Tell me more about the deep freezer...
You need a deep freezer to store the sculptures until you deliver them to your customer and also to keep an inventory of the most popular designs for rush orders. The inside temperature should be maintained at minus 10 degrees Celsius. You can keep the sculptures in the deep freezer for more than 6 months. You can find deep freezers in almost all the countries around the world. You have many options. You can order and build a new one, you can buy a used freezer from the market and you may also consider a second hand 20 foot reefer (container with deep freezing condenser). Research your market carefully. We recommend a minimum size of 22 cubic meters. Ideal size is 3 meters x 3 meters x 2.50 meters high.
How long will the sculptures last at the event?
All depends on the size of the sculpture and the surrounding temperature. For example a large sculpture one meter high will maintain its original form and design after 6-8 hours in an environment with 22-24 degrees Celsius room temperature. Such a sculpture will melt entirely after 18 hours. We recommend you place the sculptures in the event hall one hour before the event.
How do I transport the sculptures to the customers?
All depends on the size of the order, the distance from your business to the customer and last but not least the outside temperature. For example you can transport a small order in the trunk of your vehicle if the driving distance is up to 30-45 minutes and the outside temperature is 25 degrees Celsius. Some of our customers use a well insulated van and others use a refrigerated/deep freeze van.
How do I present the ice sculptures to my customers?
We recommend you use our special displays designed to handle all sizes of ice sculptures. These displays are very attractive in appearance and will illuminate the sculptures from underneath in a variety of colors while at the same time will handle the water from the melting ice.
